About the project
Mostly with my job, I make instruments to order. However, there are rare exceptions when there is free time and the desire to do something different. This was the case with this instrument. There was also another incentive – the opening of the exhibition hall in the Moscow store “Guitars”.
I wanted to do something stylish and unusual based on the Starline model. Then there was an idea to make a guitar with the background of a classic shape that that also had the potential for modern heavy styles.
For this, materials with specific timbre characteristics and the Classic Eric Clapton Mid boost Kit were selected. In the passive mode, the sound is close to the classic telecaster, and in the active mode from the very first notes you want to play ZZ Top, AC / DC and something heavy.
The external design and the name of the guitar correspond to its character: the unusual texture and color of the wenge are reminiscent of bear fur, and the cyborg bear picture convincingly strengthens the name – “Iron Bear”.
This guitar became part of the exhibition and was used for the business card of my stand.
