About the project

In 2012, I was invited to participate in an interesting event – Telefest ’12.

It’s a festival for guitar makers. The theme, as you may have already guessed, was the making of the legendary Fender Telecaster guitar.

Since my Starline model fell under the allowed specifications of the competition, I decided to take advantage of this opportunity and make an interesting image version on its basis.

That year one of my favorite performers of soul-pop jazz passed away, Amy Winehouse. It was in memory of her that I decided to make one of the festival instruments.

The finish of the guitar reflects the style of the 60’s and the colorful persona of this outstanding singer.

The work on this instrument was enthusiastic and emotional, which left a certain imprint on the result – the guitar turned out to have a lot of character and gave off an aura of warmth. Perhaps that’s why Starline Amy is one of my favorite works.

Participants of the festival appreciated and were inspired by the Starline Amy guitar.

The work received an honorable second place.
