Making history.
This is the second collectible guitar for my regular customer.
Two years ago I made a guitar for him based on Les Paul’s “The Queen of Spades.” The instrument turned out to be expensive in all respects; eventually the customer asked to make something simpler so he would not be worried about taking the guitar with him to various events. This was all timed to his fiftieth birthday. This event became the central theme in the design of the guitar.
Given that the customer is an enthusiast in money and a passionate gambler, I decided to use all these features in the design. Consequently, the idea was born to make a collage of monetary bills with a denomination of 50. For markers on the fingerboard we used aerography in the form of card suits. The highlight of all this “chaos” were the handles made of coins and, of course, the anchor cover made of rare 50 Soviet-era rubles circa 1925 from real silver. The customer appreciated the idea ? For him it was the best gift he received on his birthday! ?
