Piton

About the Instrument

The task was to make a compact baritone for heavy music with some structural changes for the customer. The basis for the silhouette was taken from Strandberg, which was roughly flattened almost to the size of Steinberger.

Another feature is the overlay for the entire length of the instrument and, correspondingly, the upper plane of the deck coinciding with it. For the subsonic I used APG humbuckers with the characteristics of a custom model developed for Victor Smolsky.

The stage name of the customer “Piton” was immortalized in the form of an inlay of duralumin on the 12th fret.
